September is Hunger Action Month – a month where people all over America stand together with Feeding America and the nationwide network of food banks to fight hunger. It’s a month to spread the word and take action on the hunger crisis, and dedicate ourselves to a solution.
Councils are encourage to participate by serving at a soup kitchen or make a donation to an organization the serve the public in need of food or collection of food items that is donated to a non-profit organization. Other activities will be considered that are not specifically mentioned but it must relate to the theme of feeding the hungry.
