“My” Government Day is observed during the month of September. Its purpose is that of explaining the government of country, state, province or community, in which the council is located. This is usually accomplished by a panel discussion by members or by having a qualified speaker explain in the processes of governmental operations. Tours of government facilities and occupying for a day the offices of government officials are typical affairs.
